How to Make It

Crumble stuffing into large chunks on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake about 15 minutes to remove moisture. Cool slightly.

Step 3

Step 4

Arrange the leftover stuffing in a layer in the prepared casserole dish. Next, layer on the turkey, sage, and cheese. Pour egg mixture over top and let stand for 10 minutes. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until golden brown and set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

I made this today and it turned out pretty good. I had leftover Chicken, gravy, sausage stuffing and broccoli taking up valuable refrigerator space so I gave it a shot. It went together easily. Next time I might add more of my favorite seasonings to the chicken layer such as granulated onion and garlic powder. I also found that you can add nearly any leftover vegetable to it such as green beans, spinach, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower and even corn if you like a little sweetness. If you like your food spicy adding hot sauce to the egg mixture or sprinkling some on after its done will kick it up a notch. I cut the salt in half as my sausage stuffing and the cheese already had plenty. This is a very good basic recipe that you can easily customize to your own tastes.
