Yield
4 servings (serving size: 1 sandwich)

Make a quick black bean and corn salad to serve with the sandwiches. The turkey can also be served over rice or as a taco or enchilada filling.

How to Make It

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, garlic, and jalapeño; sauté 2 minutes or until soft. Add sugar and next 5 ingredients (through turkey); cook 5 minutes or until turkey is browned, stirring to crumble. Stir in salsa; cook 4 minutes or until slightly thick. Stir in cilantro. Spread about 3/4 cup turkey mixture on bottom half of each roll; cover with top half of each roll.

Really enjoyed this as a way to use up some leftover Fantastic Foods Vegetarian Taco Filling added to 3 oz. ground beef. One big change: Although I made only half the recipe, I kept the spices as written and it was great. So if you like spicy food and are making the whole recipes, you might double them. Served with roasted sweet potato quarters and coleslaw.

Delicious! This is one of our standby recipes...one thing I add is a little bit of tomato paste to thicken it up...otherwise it is perfect! :)

Needed to use up leftover hamburger buns from the weekend. This wasn't anything spectacular, but a good hearty family friendly dinner.

Great recipe! I'm not a huge ground turkey fan, so I used extra lean ground beef (96/4). To spice it up I used a whole seeded jalapeño, medium salsa and added a 8 3/4oz can of corn for a little sweetness. I like the spices and especially the fresh cilantro. Highly recommend.

Quick and easy; flavorful which is a real trick using ground turkey. Spicy - will make again. I served it with the Corn and Black Bean Salad. It went very well together.

This recipe was amazing! Whenever I make sloppy joes, they will be this kind! I love that they have a spice to them.

So good. If I weren't a snooty foodie, I'd make these once a week!
