Yield
8 cups (serving size: 1 1/3 cups)

Spanish for "fresh water," agua fresca is a refreshing, fruit-infused drink that is served throughout Mexico. Depending on the ripeness of the strawberries, adjust the amount of sugar for desired sweetness.

How to Make It

Combine water and sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves. Place strawberries in a blender, and process until smooth. Combine the sugar mixture, strawberry puree, and juice; stir well.

Don't know if the other reviewers used strawberries that were in season but I don't think this even needed that much sugar. The strawberries I got were very sweet on their own so maybe just 1/4 cup would have been fine. I added some ice to make it thicker and only used about 1 1/2 cups water. Perfect summer drink!

Not bad! A bit too much water for my taste, so I poured some out. I also added a little more sugar, and instead of using just strawberries, I did 2 cups of strawberries, 2 of raspberries, and 2 of blueberries. It's a bit more sour with the other fruits, but nothing a little more sugar won't cure :) Good recipe.

I agree with the other post. Can add some sugar to make it a little bit sweeter, but overall it was pretty good.

We are a family that loves strawberries, so I thought this recipe is perfect!  Unfortunately, we were very disappointed.  The star of the attraction disappeared was over-diluted.  I would not recommend this recipe at all.
