How to Make It

Step 1

Sauté sausage in a large heavy skillet over medium heat until browned; drain on paper towels.

Step 2

Add onion and bell pepper to skillet, and saute 2 to 3 minutes. Add cabbage, and cook, stirring often, 8 minutes. Add sausage, wine, and remaining ingredients. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Serve immediately.

We've made this a few times. I use red bell pepper and add carrot. I also use fennel seeds instead of caraway because I have that on hand. We've used a variety of sausages. It is easy, turns out well & my husband and 2 year old daughter will both eat it.
