Mini marshmallows melt into this walnut-topped brownie during baking, giving it a gooey, fudgy texture.

How to Make It

Step 1

In a 2- to 3-quart pan over low heat, frequently stir butter and chocolate until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, and marshmallows until well blended.

Step 2

Spread batter evenly in a buttered and floured 8-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle top evenly with walnuts.

Step 3

Bake in a 350° oven until deep brown, 30 to 35 minutes.

Step 4

Run a knife between pan rim and brownie. Let cool in pan on a rack, about 1 hour. Cut into 9 or 16 squares.

Step 5

I just made this last night and it turned out amazing. I made 2 batches and I had to re-bake them for additional 10min or so since there were some parts that were too gooey after 30min in the oven.

I was very disappointed in the way these turned out. I kept thinking I must have missed something in the ingredients, but rechecked it and didn't. I was very skeptical about the amount of flour since it was only 1/2 cup. As others said, they don't set up and way too messy to eat.

I was skeptical after reading the other reviews, but these were amazingly good! Very soft & chewy, and oh so easy to make! I used 1/2 cup semisweet choc chips because I didn't have any unsweetened choc, so I cut back on the sugar to just using 1 cup. Other than that, they turned out great! Will def make these again and again and again.

Made these for a friend, we both loved 'em. Probably one of the best brownie recipes i've found. Somewhat gooey(which I liked) and simply delicious(and I hate sweets).

These did not set up at all...very gooey. The marshmallows gave it an oddly super sweet flavor...these were simply not good.

Made these brownies didn't have unsweetened chocolate so I used bittersweet. They were really easy to make but didn't set up at all in the pan. They were really gooey was looking for a cake like brownie. Husband said they had a good taste just not what I was looking for will stick with recipe from Hersheys similar to this.

These are wonderful and so easy. You can't taste the marshmallows. Next time will press the walnuts into the batter before cooking as they fall off when eating. My husband really liked these. A definite repeat.

Looks very good and easy to make... will consider making a batch for gift baskets for co-workers.
