Combining pizza sauce and basil-garlic tomato sauce creates a homemade taste.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 3 ingredients. Dredge steak in flour mixture.

Step 2

Brown steak, in batches, in hot oil in a large skillet over high heat 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Remove steak from skillet, and place in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.

Step 3

Sauté sliced onion, chopped bell pepper, and mushrooms in skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until tender. Add pizza and tomato sauces, and simmer 15 minutes; pour over steak.

Step 4

Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese; bake 15 minutes or until cheese melts.

This was ok. A little bland I thought. Not salty so that might have been the pizza sauce for the prev reviewer.

This called for 2 teaspoons of salt. For me, this was extremely salty. Could have been the brand of pizza sauce I used. I may try it again, but I'd have to tweak it a little.
