How to Make It
Combine milk, sugar, and cocoa in a medium saucepan over medium-high; cook, whisking often, until sugar dissolves. Stir in chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt; bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, and pour into 4 mugs.
Stir each mug with a peppermint stick, allowing candy and flavor to melt to desired minty taste.
If desired, stir 1 tablespoon of schnapps into each mug. Top with whipped cream.
