This is one of my favorite recipes for a lot of reasons. It's practically fat-free, and it's easy to make. Plus it calls for ingredients that you always have around.

How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°.

Step 2

Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup, and level with a knife. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir in milk and vanilla extract. Spoon the batter into a 9-inch square baking pan. Combine brown sugar and 3 tablespoons cocoa, and sprinkle over cake batter. Pour water over batter (do not stir). Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Serve warm.

This was quick and easy to make, but I was not impressed with the flavor. My husband ate it the night I made it, but I threw the rest away as we didn't eat the leftovers. I would not make again. The chocolate decadence is much better and also quick and easy to make.
