How to Make It

Bring water to a boil in a large nonstick skillet; add beans. Cook 3 minutes; drain and set aside. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and beans, and sauté 1 minute. Add juice, salt, and pepper; sauté 1 minute.

This recipe was really good. I like my veggies al dente, and these were perfect. Crispy and flavorful - the lemon and garlic were a great combo (as usual). I can't wait to make them again!

Fine, but the flavors don't "sing". This method works well with any green veg, from broccoli to spinach to green beans. With leafier greens, I will sometimes add some lemon zest and/or red pepper flakes.

My staple green bean recipe. I also use lemon to taste, because the 3 TBL seemed too much the first time I made it. Always eaten by everyone! Great low cal sidedish.
