Use an unflavored black tea, or substitute your favorite tea. This refreshing sorbet makes a great ending to a spicy meal. If you use loose tea, strain it out and discard before adding the sugar.

How to Make It

Step 1

Pour boiling water over tea bags in a large saucepan; steep 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags. Add sugar to pan; cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Cool completely.

Step 2

Combine tea mixture, grapefruit juice, orange rind, and orange juice in the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. Spoon sorbet into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze 1 hour or until firm.

While I like tart sorbets, this was a little over the top.......if I make it again, I will use 1/2 the water making the tea.
