Makes 8 servings

All of the components of a favorite breakfast (eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and bread) are combined into one simple breakfast pizza. This 6-ingredient meal is sure to become your family's next favorite weekend treat. Serve with fresh fruit and juice.

How to Make It

Step 1

Unroll crescent roll dough, and press on bottom and partially up sides of a 13- x 9-inch baking dish; press perforations to seal. Bake at 375° for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring until sausage crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain well, and sprinkle evenly over crust.

Step 3

Prepare frozen hash browns according to package directions, and spoon evenly over sausage. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over hash browns. (Cover and chill up to 24 hours, if desired.) Whisk together eggs and next 3 ingredients; pour evenly over cheese.

Step 4

Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until set.

Chef's Notes

You can also bake this in a 12-inch deep-dish pizza pan or cake pan.

We thought this was really tasty, but I'd recommend either greatly reducing or eliminating the salt. It was a very salty dish. The sausage, frozen has browns, and cheese already have enough sodium in them to make it very savory. Overall though, a great dish and easy to put together.

Lightened the recipe with reduced fat crescent rolls, Morning Star soy sausage, fat-free southwest egg substitute and reduced fat cheddar. Used shredded hashbrowns and broiled to crisp once the eggs were set. Delicious and easy to make!

WOW! This recipe is GREAT! Very deserving of the 5 stars. I couldn't find the hashbrown, green pepper and onion blend at my grocer to I used the regular small cubed OreIda and left a little in the 32 oz. bag, then added a handful of (frozen ready) chopped onion and bell pepper. I also added a dash of cayenne and it was fantastic. Husband had three helpings, daughters two each. Worthy of entertaining guests, brunch, etc. For a southwestern flare, you can serve w/ sides of salsa, guac and sour cream. It also dawned on me that Ore Ida's Potatoes O'Brien is the frozen ready mix to look for.

I've only made this twice and have had several people ask me for the recipe both times. I love it because I can make it ahead, the sausage and hashbrowns can cook themselves while I do dishes, then pop in the final ingredients the next morning - and it's done, delicious, and leftovers are even great!

Great for a crowd. Very filling. Have made it for every meal, including dinner. It's not very healthy, but it tastes great for a special treat.
